About Taichung, Taiwan
Taichung, officially known as Taichung City (Chinese: 臺中市; pinyin: Táizhōng Shì), is a special municipalitylocated in center-western Taiwan. Taichung has a population of over 2.7 million people, making it the third largest city on the island after New Taipei City and Kaohsiung. On 25 December 2010, Taichung County merged with the original provincial Taichung City to form the special municipality. The city's motto is "economic, cultural and international city."
Taichung is an international metropolis, whose tourist attractions include Feng Chia Night Market, Maple Garden, the Lin family Mansion and Garden in Wu-Feng, National Museum of Natural Science. In addition, nearby attractions include Sun Moon Lake in Nantou and Lu-Kang Old Street in Changhua.
About Taiwan Visa
Check the current
validity of your passport.
All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Taiwan. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times.
Make sure your
passport has blank Visa pages.
Most destinations, including Taiwan, require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before any international travel.
Confirm if transit
visa is required for any connections.
Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Taiwan. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to visa requirements of the specific country.

Should your application be denied, ICMHI cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will ICMHI engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.
